
Puri, July 16: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met with Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati Maharaj on Thursday, during the auspicious occasion of the Jagannath Rath Yatra. He shared this information via a post on the social media platform ‘X’.
In his post, Dharmendra Pradhan expressed, “On this sacred occasion of the Rath Yatra, I had the privilege of paying my respects at the feet of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Ji of the Shri Govardhan Math Puri Peeth. His affection and spiritual guidance always inspire me. Being present at this great spiritual center of Sanatan tradition and Jagannath culture fills my heart with devotion, peace, and joy.”
Earlier, Chief Minister Mohan Chandra Majhi also met with Jagadguru Shankaracharya. He posted on ‘X’, stating, “I was fortunate to receive the divine presence and blessings of the revered Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati Maharaj at Shri Govardhan Math.”
The Chief Minister further noted, “The invaluable life philosophy and guidance of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Ji serve as a beacon for preserving our rich cultural heritage, establishing human values, and ensuring social harmony. His holy presence and guidance have filled me with renewed energy and determination to serve the people of our state.”
BJP MP from Puri, Sambit Patra, also shared pictures of his meeting with the Shankaracharya on ‘X’, stating, “Today, I had the honor of receiving the holy blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj at Jagannath Dham, Puri.”
Sambit Patra added, “On this auspicious occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Chandra Majhi, Cabinet Minister Vibhuti Bhushan Jena, MLA Ashrit Patnaik, Om Prakash Mishra, and other colleagues were also present.”
