Lonavala, July 1: The investigation into the high-profile Ketan Agarwal murder case is progressing with the police exploring every angle. On Wednesday, authorities took the accused to Lohgad Fort to recreate the crime scene. This step aims to verify all facts related to the incident and advance the investigation.
DSP Gajanan Tompe stated that the accused was taken to Lohgad, where the crime scene was recreated in the same sequence as the incident occurred. The entire process was completed in the morning, and the accused demonstrated the sequence of events as described during the investigation. The police recreated the scene based on this information.
Tompe mentioned that any necessary findings from the investigation will be presented before the court. Following this, further actions will be taken based on the court’s directives and the facts that emerge during the investigation.
When asked about the progress of the investigation, DSP Tompe revealed that the police are carefully examining all individuals connected to the case. Statements from essential witnesses are being recorded, and any new facts or individuals that come to light will be addressed with utmost seriousness.
He further noted that the entire investigation is being conducted under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police (SP) and the Additional Superintendent of Police (Additional SP). Senior officials review the investigation daily to ensure it is progressing in the right direction. Currently, the police investigation is ongoing, with a thorough examination of all aspects.
It is noteworthy that in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, serious allegations have been made against Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her associate, Chetan Chaudhary. Investigating agencies claim that the two pushed Ketan off Lohgad Fort on June 18, leading to his death. Initially, Siya had claimed that Ketan slipped and fell into the gorge.
