K.C. Venugopal Raises Concerns Over CBSE Class 10 and 12 Results, Calls for Transparency

New Delhi, May 26: Rajya Sabha member K.C. Venugopal took to social media platform X on Tuesday to allege significant discrepancies in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results for the Class 10 and 12 board exams of 2026. He expressed that these irregularities have led to confusion among students regarding their scorecards.

He stated, “The CBSE results are completely flawed. Thousands of students have encountered multiple errors in the digital scanning and evaluation system, causing panic among them.”

Venugopal further criticized the board for charging exorbitant fees for re-evaluation from these distressed students. He remarked, “How can a government that cannot conduct a simple secondary education exam claim to be a ‘world guru’? Let alone the massive discrepancies in the NEET UG exam.”

He emphasized that students deserve a transparent and swift resolution to this issue. Venugopal has written to the Prime Minister, requesting a timely solution for the affected students. He also shared a photo of the letter addressed to PM Modi.

This year, the CBSE announced the Class 10 board exam results on April 15 and the Class 12 results on May 13 on its official website. The overall pass percentage for Class 12 was recorded at 85.20%, with girls achieving a pass percentage of 88.86% and boys at 82.13%. Meanwhile, the overall pass percentage for the Class 10 board was 93.70%.
