Jayant Pays Tribute to Former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh on His Death Anniversary

New Delhi, May 29: Central Minister Jayant Chaudhary, accompanied by his family, paid tribute to his grandfather, former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, at the Kisan Ghat on his death anniversary.

During a conversation with reporters, Jayant Chaudhary remarked that the entire nation is remembering Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Sahib. “We have gathered here to pay our respects. This place inspires us and brings peace to the people,” he stated. He also mentioned that they performed a Yajna, highlighting Chaudhary Sahib’s significant role in promoting the Arya Samaj and Yajna.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath noted that today marks the solemn death anniversary of a great son of Bharat Mata, a former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and a champion of farmers, Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh. “On this occasion, I pay my humble tribute on behalf of the entire state,” he added.

CM Yogi further stated that Prime Minister Modi honored him with the Bharat Ratna. “Chaudhary Sahib was not only a prominent politician but also a true well-wisher of farmers. He made significant contributions to the nation’s development,” he said.

RLD MLA Prasann Chaudhary from Shamli described the late Chaudhary Charan Singh as a global leader who served as India’s Prime Minister. “Today, many of his followers are present here. He worked for farmers, laborers, and the common people. Today is a day to remember him, and we gather to draw inspiration from his life and ideals,” he expressed.

RLD state president Ramashish Rai remarked that today is Chaudhary Sahib’s death anniversary. “He was a farmer leader, a messiah for farmers, who held the entire farming community and the nation in his heart. We pay our respects and remember him on this occasion,” he said.

Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal added, “Today marks the death anniversary of a great leader and the messiah of farmers, Chaudhary Charan Singh, who fought for farmers’ rights. I offer my heartfelt tribute to him on this day.”
