New Delhi, August 21: A significant opportunity has arisen for youth preparing for government jobs and awaiting vacancy announcements. The Goa Public Service Commission (JPSC) has issued an official notification inviting applications for a total of 38 positions across various departments.
The JPSC has opened recruitment for a range of roles, including seven Assistant Professors in the Anesthesiology Department at the Goa Medical College, two Assistant Professors in Occupational Medicine for affiliated health science courses, one Embryologist, one Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery, two Assistant Professors in Neurology, one Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery, one Assistant Professor in Medical Oncology, two Assistant Professors in Urology, one Assistant Professor in Endocrinology, one Assistant Professor in Geriatrics Medicine, and 19 Veterinary Officer positions within the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.
The online application process commenced on August 14, with the deadline set for August 28 for all positions except those on deputation transfer. The last date for applications for the deputation transfer roles is September 28. Eligible candidates interested in these positions can complete their registration on the JPSC official website before the specified deadlines.
For the Assistant Professor position in the Anesthesiology Department (on deputation transfer), candidates must hold equivalent positions under the administration of central/state governments or union territories (the deputation period typically does not exceed three years).
Candidates applying for the Assistant Professor role in Occupational Medicine must possess a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university, along with three years of teaching experience in the relevant specialty and knowledge of the Konkani language. The Embryologist position requires a postgraduate degree in Clinical Embryology (from a full-time program lasting at least four semesters) and three years of additional experience handling human gametes and embryos in a Human Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) lab.
For all other Assistant Professor positions, candidates must have a postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification in the relevant specialty from a medical college/institution recognized by the National Medical Commission and at least three years of experience in a teaching role at a medical college or teaching institution. For the Veterinary Officer position, candidates must hold a recognized veterinary qualification listed in the first or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and must be registered with the Goa State Veterinary Council.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 45 years. Selection of eligible candidates will be based on application scrutiny, written examinations/interviews/document verification, after which selected candidates will receive salaries according to the pay matrix levels 7 or 11, depending on the position.
