Jaipur, September 3 (Daily Kiran) : Rajasthan BJP President Madan Rathore has sharply criticized the Congress party over its internal turmoil following the distribution of tickets for the upcoming local body elections. He suggested that Congress should focus on resolving its internal disputes rather than worrying about the BJP.
Rathore dismissed any claims of discontent within the BJP, stating, “If there is no loss, why is there a need for damage control? We have no shortage of capable workers. Those who did not receive tickets understand the principle of ‘Nation First’ and will continue to work diligently for the party.”
He emphasized that the BJP is not centered around individuals but is based on ideology and organization. “The BJP is an organization-based party. Here, the organization is greater than the position, and the nation is greater than the organization. Even those who hoped to contest elections on party tickets are disciplined workers committed to strengthening the organization,” he added.
Rathore also criticized Congress in light of allegations that arose when a state vice president of the Youth Congress was denied a councilor ticket. He questioned the party’s claims regarding women’s empowerment, stating, “What could be more embarrassing than a female worker, affiliated with the same Congress party that promotes ‘I am a girl, I can fight,’ having to justify her political rights by detailing what she has personally done for a legislator?”
He raised concerns about whether ticket distribution in Congress is based on merit, public service, and commitment to the organization, or rather on personal connections and alleged favoritism. Rathore urged Congress to clarify the disparity between its political message on women’s empowerment and the accusations emerging from within its ranks.
He asserted that the upcoming local elections would provide voters an opportunity to assess the organizational strength of the BJP and the trust it has garnered from the public. While BJP workers actively engage with voters, Rathore noted, Congress remains entangled in disputes over ticket distribution and internal disagreements.
“The internal conflicts, disputes over tickets, and discontent among Congress workers illustrate that the party has lost touch with its grassroots,” he remarked. Referring to a recent altercation involving a district president during a ticket distribution controversy in Bikaner, Rathore indicated that this incident reflects the dissatisfaction and factionalism within Congress.
He concluded that the election results will send a clear message to Congress, stating, “The people of Rajasthan want development, good governance, and strong leadership, not blame games and internal strife. The BJP is moving forward with this mindset.”
