Intense Heat to Grip NCR for Three Days; Weather Change Expected on June 11

New Delhi, June 8: The weather in the National Capital Region (NCR) is set to change dramatically in the coming days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), residents will face severe heat, intense sunlight, and hot winds for the next three days.

During this period, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 42 to 43 degrees Celsius. However, a significant shift in weather is anticipated starting June 11, with thunderstorms and rain likely to provide much-needed relief and a notable drop in temperatures. The IMD forecasts that the sky will remain mostly clear on June 8, with maximum temperatures reaching 42 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius.

No warnings have been issued for this day. On June 9, temperatures are expected to rise further, with a maximum of 43 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 28 degrees Celsius. Strong surface winds may occur during the day, but the IMD has not indicated any need for special alerts. The weather on June 10 will remain similar, with maximum temperatures reaching 43 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures at 29 degrees Celsius, along with the possibility of strong winds.

A significant weather change is expected on June 11. The IMD predicts thunderstorms and rain, with maximum temperatures dropping to 41 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures at 29 degrees Celsius. Rain and storm activities may intensify on June 12, leading to a substantial decrease in maximum temperatures, potentially down to 36 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures will remain around 26 degrees Celsius.

According to the weather department, June 13 is also expected to be relatively pleasant, with maximum temperatures around 36 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures at 26 degrees Celsius. Partly cloudy skies may prevail, with the possibility of thunderstorms developing. Weather experts advise residents to remain cautious of the intense heat and sunlight over the next three days.

It is advisable to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during the afternoon and to stay hydrated. The rain and storm activities expected to begin on June 11 could provide significant relief from the oppressive heat, with temperature drops of around 6 to 7 degrees Celsius anticipated.
