Bhilwara, 19 August (Kiran News). The major operation by the Income Tax Department in Bhilwara continued for the second day on Tuesday. A special IT team from Jaipur and Delhi conducted a raid in Gurjar Mohalla under Kotwali police station area. A search was carried out at the house of a person named Mahesh, who has been providing accounts and tax-related services for a long time and is believed to have acted as a mediator in political donation transactions.

On Monday, the IT team had started a raid at the residence of the Bakliwal father-son duo in Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar, Bhilwara. The team found several important documents, which are being examined. There was a large investment in a company named Inter Arc Building Solution Limited through Mauritius. The Income Tax Department suspects that this investment is related to black money sent to India to evade taxes.
The scope of the IT Department’s investigation is not limited to Bhilwara. Earlier, raids were also conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Noida, and Dausa. The department is focused on the entire network through which alleged foreign funds were routed as political donations and investments in various companies. On Tuesday, the IT officials arrived in Gurjar Mohalla in five vehicles and conducted hours-long searches at Mahesh’s house with local police present. Mahesh is seen as a crucial link, as he has been involved in many such transactions in the name of accounting and tax consultancy. Several documents and electronic devices have been seized from his house. Meanwhile, continuous questioning of a person named Ankur is underway in Mumbai for the second day. IT officials say that exposing the reality of investments made in India through black money is a priority in this case.
It has also come to light today that money was allegedly sent to India through Mauritius-based companies and then shown as investments in construction and other sectors. If it is proven to be black money, it will be considered a major scam.
It is noteworthy that the recent action in Bhilwara and Dausa clearly shows that the department is very serious about this case. In the coming days, more people may come under scrutiny. Several names may emerge in this complex web of political funding and foreign investment. The action by the IT department has also created a stir at the local level. Crowds gathered throughout the day in Gurjar Mohalla and Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar, with people speculating about which big names this investigation might reach.
