Hindustan Zinc Begins Development of School Sports Ground in Gudli

Udaipur : The foundation stone for the construction of a boundary wall and development of a sports ground was laid at a school in Odwाडिया village under Gudli Gram Panchayat on Saturday. The work will be undertaken by Zinc Smelter Debari under Hindustan Zinc’s rural development programme.

The project is expected to give a new identity to the school’s sports ground and provide students with safer and better facilities for sports activities.

The foundation stone was laid by Hindustan Zinc Debari SBU Director Vivek Yadav. District Education Officer Deepak God, Additional District Education Officer Mohanlal Meghwal, Hindustan Zinc Debari Chief Security Officer Aditya Narayan Thakur, CSR Head Ruchika Chawla, CSR Officer Aparna Vyas, school Vice-Principal Rajendra Singh Jhala, Prakash Gameti, Jagdish Dangi, Prakash Gayari and Dinesh Dangi were among those present. A large number of villagers and students also attended the programme.

Vivek Yadav Highlights Importance of Sports

Addressing the students, Vivek Yadav said sports are an important part of life along with education. He said sports develop team spirit among students and teach them to move forward by working together.

He stressed the importance of discipline, saying that success becomes difficult without it. Yadav also urged students to maintain distance from excessive mobile phone use and use mobile phones in a limited and appropriate manner.

He said physical activity on the sports ground strengthens both the body and mind.

Students Urged to Balance Studies and Sports

District Education Officer Deepak God said mobile phones are increasingly becoming a problem. While mobile phones are useful in the technology-driven era, students should avoid becoming addicted to them.

He said students need to step onto the field and work hard to turn their dreams into reality. He encouraged them to participate actively in sports along with their studies.

According to him, sports not only improve physical ability but also develop confidence, discipline and a spirit to face challenges.

The construction of the boundary wall will make the school sports ground safer and provide students with an organised environment for sports activities.

Villagers described the development work as an important contribution towards the future of students and thanked Hindustan Zinc for the initiative. They said the development of the sports ground would provide village students with better opportunities to develop their sporting talent.
