Ghatavali Mataji Farmer Producer Company Sets Example of Rural Empowerment

Udaipur, September 9, 2026: Ghatavali Mataji Farmer Producer Company, operated with the support of BAIF and Hindustan Zinc under the Samadhan Project, is emerging as an example of farmer and women empowerment in rural areas. Through its dairy brand ‘GauAm’, the company is also building its identity in the dairy products market.

During the financial year 2025-26, the company operated across 16 villages with 1,291 shareholders. Women account for around 70 per cent of the total shareholders, highlighting their significant participation in the company’s activities.

The company recently held its Annual General Meeting, where details of its activities, achievements, financial performance and future plans were presented to the shareholders.

Rs 3.03 Crore Turnover, Rs 16.02 Lakh Profit

The company recorded a turnover of around Rs 3.03 crore and earned a profit of approximately Rs 16.02 lakh during 2025-26. It is working on marketing agricultural and allied products while helping farmers access better markets.

The annual accounts, financial statements, turnover, profit and business progress were shared with shareholders during the meeting. The process further strengthened transparency, accountability and shareholder participation in the company’s operations.

Business Activities Grow Sixfold in Four Years

BAIF Regional Director Surendra Vardia highlighted the company’s growth journey and said that Ghatavali Mataji Farmer Producer Company had made significant progress over the past four years.

During this period, the company’s business activities increased nearly six times, while its share value rose by around three times. He said the achievement was the result of collective participation by farmers, better management and continuous support from BAIF and Hindustan Zinc.

‘GauAm’ Brand Expands Dairy Business

The company is marketing a range of dairy products under the ‘GauAm’ brand, including paneer, curd and ghee.

Special attention is being given to maintaining product quality, delivering better products to consumers and expanding the market. The growing popularity of the ‘GauAm’ brand is being seen as an important achievement for the company’s dairy business and is also helping provide an organised market for farmers’ products.

The company also has a business association with the Taj Group, which has provided better market opportunities and new business prospects for its products. The association is expected to further strengthen the farmer producer company’s business and connect farmers with better markets.

Information on Agriculture Department Schemes

Chief Guest and Joint Director Agriculture Sudhir Verma addressed the farmers and provided detailed information about various agricultural and farmer welfare schemes run by the Agriculture Department.

He encouraged farmers to make use of government schemes, subsidies and agricultural services. He also explained that understanding eligibility criteria, application procedures and coordination with concerned departments is important for effectively accessing government schemes.

Verma called upon farmers to adopt modern agricultural techniques and make maximum use of available government schemes to make agriculture and animal husbandry activities more profitable.

A booklet containing information about various government schemes was also distributed among farmers and shareholders so that they could access schemes according to their needs and eligibility.

Company Sets Rs 3.78 Crore Turnover Target

For the upcoming financial year, the company has set a turnover target of around Rs 3.78 crore.

The company will focus on expanding the market for ‘GauAm’ products, connecting with new markets, increasing farmer participation and further strengthening agriculture- and animal husbandry-based businesses.

The guests present at the programme also provided guidance on strengthening the farmer producer company, increasing farmers’ income, expanding women’s participation and connecting farmers with better markets, modern agricultural technology and agricultural services.

Joint Director Agriculture Sudhir Verma, Assistant Director Seema Jhagrawat, BAIF Regional Director Surendra Vardia, Debari CSR Head Ruchika Chawla, BAIF State Head Pawan Patidar, board members of the company and a large number of shareholders were present on the occasion.
