New Delhi, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Vietnam’s Foreign Minister, Le Hoai Trung, highlighted the shared strategic interests between Vietnam and India during a meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in New Delhi on September 14. He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, stability, and strategic autonomy in an increasingly complex international environment.
Trung noted that both nations are undergoing significant phases of development, with Vietnam aiming for its 2045 development vision and India pursuing its ‘Developed India 2047’ goal. He expressed confidence that the bilateral relationship would not only benefit both countries but also enhance regional and global peace and stability.
In his remarks, Trung congratulated India on successfully hosting the 18th BRICS summit, which he said demonstrated the group’s growing capacity to contribute to shared global objectives. He praised the summit’s comprehensive declaration, which reaffirmed key principles of international law and outlined essential guidelines for peace, security, and development.
Additionally, Trung mentioned a productive and cordial discussion between Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which he believed would advance agreements made between the two leaders. He extended best wishes to the people of India for Ganesh Chaturthi, expressing optimism for the future of the Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership.
