Udaipur, September 5, 2026: Hindustan Zinc’s Shiksha Sambal programme is playing an important role in strengthening quality education in government schools in rural and remote areas. The programme is currently being implemented in 75 government schools, where more than 60 fellows and field personnel are serving as teachers to provide quality education to students.
Under the Shiksha Sambal programme, appointed teachers have improved students’ learning levels through regular teaching, additional academic support and remedial classes. As a result, the academic performance of schools has shown continuous positive improvement over the past few years.
The programme also focuses on teacher development through regular training, mentoring and classroom support. Teachers are introduced to new and improved teaching methods, making classroom learning more effective and contributing to better learning outcomes among students.
As part of the programme, 12 Shiksha Sambal teachers who performed exceptionally well were felicitated for their significant contribution towards improving academic results and increasing enrolment in their respective schools. The recognition acknowledged their dedication and hard work towards building a better future for students.
One of the most inspiring achievements of the Shiksha Sambal programme is that some of the teachers currently working under it were themselves students of the programme in the past. After benefiting from the initiative, they are now serving as teachers and educating the next generation. This reflects the programme’s long-term impact and the spirit of giving back to the community.
