Haryana: Hansi Residents Demand Immediate Pipeline Installation for 24-Hour Water Supply

Hansi, June 4: Members of the protest committee, led by Anup Chanout, addressed journalists on Thursday, emphasizing their primary demand for improved drinking water supply in the region.

Chanout stated that the construction of the pipeline leading to the city should commence promptly. He also highlighted the necessity of providing water to the channel area through this pipeline, ensuring timely access to drinking water for both city residents and nearby villages. Currently, the region faces a severe water crisis, which worsens during the summer months.

In a recent meeting with local administration, Chanout articulated these concerns clearly. The discussion included a proposal to create a special feeder line connecting villages to the pipeline, guaranteeing a 24-hour water supply. Additionally, it was suggested that administrative officials visit villages once a month to address local issues directly.

He mentioned that a specific day should be designated for resolving all problems, allowing officials to regularly engage with rural communities. This approach aims to facilitate quick resolutions to local grievances and reduce the backlog of issues. The committee’s priority is to avoid any conflict, focusing solely on ensuring adequate drinking water for all.

Chanout expressed optimism that if the pipeline project begins soon, the water crisis could be significantly alleviated in the future. He hopes that the administration will take this issue seriously and escalate it to the Chief Minister for a swift resolution. The protest remains peaceful, with no intention of causing harm or disputes. However, if a timely solution is not reached, villagers may feel compelled to escalate their actions.
