
Ambala, July 1: Haryana Chief Minister Naib Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth over ₹337 crores during an event in Narayangarh, his assembly constituency, on Wednesday. He dedicated 325 Amrit Sarovars and 70 advanced life support ambulances to the public.
Among these projects are seven major healthcare initiatives costing ₹114 crores. The inauguration of the 325 Amrit Sarovars, built at a cost of ₹223 crores, was also highlighted.
Addressing the gathering, CM Saini stated that this occasion is historic not only for Narayangarh but for the entire state, as the inauguration and foundation-laying of projects worth over ₹337 crores is a significant step towards realizing the vision of a ‘healthy, prosperous, and developed Haryana.’
Earlier, on ‘National Doctors‘ Day,’ the Chief Minister congratulated doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, ASHA workers, and all healthcare personnel. He also paid tribute to the renowned physician, freedom fighter, and politician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, recalling his belief that healthy citizens are the greatest strength of a strong nation.
CM Saini mentioned that the Yamunanagar-Panchkula National Highway-73 was constructed at a cost of ₹1,112 crores. Other projects include a government women’s college in Baragarh, the Fatehgarh-Raiwali road and bridge, the Narayangarh four-lane road, Raiwali road, and a modern sports stadium.
He inaugurated a 50-bed hospital block built at a cost of ₹32 crores, increasing the capacity of the civil hospital to 100 beds. Additionally, a block public health unit was inaugurated, built at an estimated cost of ₹50 lakhs, to strengthen local healthcare services.
The Chief Minister announced a new government polytechnic institution for Narayangarh in this year’s state budget. Ten new industrial model townships are being established in Haryana, including IMT Ambala-Narayangarh. Under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi scheme, approximately 10 lakh women have received ₹1,415 crores in financial assistance, with eligible beneficiaries receiving ₹2,100 per month.
He stated that Haryana is purchasing all 24 notified crops at minimum support prices. So far, ₹1.80 lakh crores have been directly transferred to the bank accounts of 12 lakh farmers.
He noted that compared to ₹1,138 crores received during the Congress government’s tenure, farmers have received ₹16,530 crores in compensation for crop losses and under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in the past 11 and a half years.
Since taking office in 2014, the government has paid off ₹269 crores in pending compensation liabilities left by the previous Congress government. A stringent law has been enacted to impose a five-year sentence for the sale of fake fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides. Additionally, 46 crops have been included under the Chief Minister Horticulture Insurance Scheme, which has provided ₹1.40 crores in assistance to 157 farmers so far.
