Gurugram Allocates ₹23.89 Crore for Development in 2025-26

Gurugram, 8 December (Daily Kiran) – The government has approved a budget of ₹23 crore 89 lakh 50 thousand for development works in Gurugram district for the financial year 2025-26 under the D-Plan.

Of the total approved amount, 30 percent will be spent on the development of roads and drains. The remaining 70 percent will be allocated to education, health, community buildings, water supply and irrigation, sports facilities, Anganwadi centres, and other social development projects.

On Monday, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar held a meeting at the conference hall of the Mini Secretariat to discuss these plans.

He instructed all officials to ensure that there is no lapse in the utilisation of funds allocated under the D-Plan. Departments have been directed to speed up the development works while maintaining strict quality control.

The funds have already been distributed among various blocks and municipalities based on population. Additional Deputy Commissioner Vatsal Vashistha reported that out of 186 development projects, six have been completed and work is ongoing on 64 others.

After reviewing detailed progress reports from the planning officer, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar urged officials from related departments to accelerate the implementation of development projects under the D-Plan.

He emphasised that all ongoing projects from the previous and current financial years must be completed within the stipulated time frame. Only new projects that meet the criteria of the D-Plan should be included going forward.

Furthermore, bills for completed projects must be submitted immediately to the concerned offices.

Present at the meeting were Executive Engineer Panchayati Raj Ajay Sharma, District Planning Officer Ajay Thakur, Assistant Planning Officer Manoj, and other departmental officers.
