Amaravati, June 21: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the state government to release a ‘Progress Report 2024-26’ to showcase the achievements across various sectors as the government marks its two-year anniversary. This report will detail developments, welfare initiatives, and administrative reforms.
During a review meeting at his camp office with ministers and senior officials, the Chief Minister stated that the report will serve as an action-taken document based on seven white papers released since the government was formed in 2024. These white papers highlighted various irregularities and challenges faced during the previous administration.
The progress report will cover ten topics, including financial status, the Polavaram project, Amaravati capital, electricity, law and order, mining, and excise. Additionally, it will introduce three new subjects: development, good governance, and welfare.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of informing the public about significant reforms made in various departments over the past two years. According to him, the reports aim not only to provide details of government actions but also to counter misleading and false information based on facts.
The development progress report will include details on initiatives in agriculture, industry, infrastructure, and tourism. The good governance report will cover new policies, administrative reforms, and changes in governance. The welfare and empowerment report will provide information on various welfare schemes and empowerment programs, including the P-4 initiative.
Chandrababu Naidu will personally release four key reports related to finance, development, welfare, and good governance, while the remaining six reports will be presented by the respective ministers.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure that all reports are released by July 18. He also mentioned that these reports should later be compiled and published as a book, establishing an annual requirement for progress reports in the future.
The first progress report to be released by the government will focus on the electricity sector, which is set to be made public on Monday.
Several ministers, senior officials, and Police Chief Harish Kumar Gupta participated in the meeting via video conferencing. Chief Secretary Sai Prasad and other senior officials were also present.
