New Delhi, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh recently addressed the BRICS summit, highlighting its significance for India following the condemnation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack in the New Delhi Declaration. He responded to critiques from the Congress party regarding President Xi Jinping’s comments on the Middle East conflict and India’s global standing. Vallabh described the summit as a major diplomatic achievement, noting that it brought together various nations to work towards consensus on contentious issues.
In response to Congress’s criticisms, Vallabh asserted that some leaders were misusing facts and examples. He referenced the Bandung Conference of April 1955, which included five participating countries, to illustrate India’s rising global respect and influence. He expressed bewilderment at Congress’s dissatisfaction during a time when India’s stature is on the rise, emphasizing that this is not about individual accomplishments but rather about enhancing India’s dignity and its expanding role on the world stage.
Vallabh stated that the BRICS summit successfully united countries representing a significant portion of the global population, aiming to reach agreements on critical international issues. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of “breaking barriers and building bridges,” which emphasizes the need to eliminate obstacles to enhance cooperation at economic, mental, and social levels.
Targeting opposition leaders, including Congress’s Jairam Ramesh, Vallabh accused them of raising unnecessary questions when India’s reputation is elevated. He pointed out that the BRICS joint declaration exemplifies India’s diplomatic engagement.
Regarding the condemnation of the Pahalgam attack in the BRICS declaration, Vallabh called it a significant diplomatic victory for India. He noted that the collective denunciation of terrorism by countries representing a large populace has isolated Pakistan on the international stage. This unified stance from BRICS supports India’s anti-terrorism policy.
He reiterated that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India has adopted a decisive approach against terrorism. Vallabh referenced the “water and blood cannot coexist” policy concerning India-Pakistan relations, emphasizing that India takes incidents of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism seriously.
Vallabh remarked that India’s actions against terrorism and its diplomatic efforts are now visible on international platforms. The condemnation of the Pahalgam attack in the BRICS declaration is a crucial achievement in this regard.
On President Xi Jinping’s comments about ongoing conflicts in West Asia, Vallabh noted that the BRICS joint declaration stressed the need for peaceful resolutions. He asserted that war cannot be a permanent solution to disputes, and that dialogue and diplomatic efforts are essential for resolution. The conflicts in West Asia impact not only the involved nations but also the global economy and stability.
He emphasized that while some countries are directly affected by conflicts, others face indirect consequences. Therefore, finding solutions through dialogue serves both humanity and global prosperity. Vallabh described Xi Jinping’s remarks and the BRICS declaration as a clear message advocating for resolving international disputes through conversation, which he views as a positive sign for global peace and stability.
