Free Development vs. Loot: Uttar Pradesh Minister Responds to Akhilesh Yadavs Challenge

Lucknow, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : Political tensions are rising in Uttar Pradesh as the 2027 assembly elections approach. Swatantra Dev Singh, a minister in the Yogi government, has claimed that the Samajwadi Party (SP) plundered the state during its rule, while the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has ushered in development.

In a recent conversation in Lucknow, Singh sharply responded to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, who had challenged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to contest from Ayodhya. Yadav asserted that if Adityanath is so confident about his victory, he should take up the challenge.

Singh, in turn, mocked Yadav’s statements, suggesting that the SP leader is well aware of his own actions and that the public knows the SP is a dynastic party that has historically exploited the state. He criticized the SP’s lack of a developmental agenda, stating that during their governance, law and order collapsed, and crime surged. Singh attributed the SP’s removal from power to public dissatisfaction, which led to the election of the Yogi Adityanath government.

He highlighted the NDA’s achievements, noting significant growth in tourism, with both domestic and international visitors flocking to Uttar Pradesh. Singh also mentioned the construction of the Ram Temple and the establishment of law and order in a riot-free state.

Expressing satisfaction over the naming of the Jewar Airport as “Narendra Modi International Airport,” Singh praised Prime Minister Modi‘s dedication to the welfare of farmers, youth, and women. He emphasized that this decision received unanimous approval from the entire cabinet. Singh reflected on Modi’s 25 years of public service, asserting that the Prime Minister has consistently prioritized the nation, contributing to India’s growing stature in global forums like the G-20 and advancing in technology.
