Akhilesh Yadav Criticized for Political Remarks During Ayodhya Visit

Azamgarh, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : Mahant Raju Das has taken aim at Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, regarding his recent visit to Ayodhya. Das accused Yadav of exploiting the religious platform for political promotion rather than engaging in spiritual discourse. He stated that if Yadav attended a religious event, he should have focused on discussions about Sanatan Dharma, saints, and religious traditions, instead of making political statements.

Das emphasized that all political figures should be welcomed at religious events, as these occasions prioritize faith over political identity. He argued that Yadav could have spoken about the essence of Sanatan Dharma and the contributions of saints but chose instead to discuss matters related to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and electoral politics. According to Das, the event was misused for the Samajwadi Party’s campaign.

In response to Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya’s comments about Yadav not visiting Ram Lalla, Das remarked that Yadav has never shown genuine reverence for the Ram Temple. He also questioned the commitment of other Samajwadi Party leaders towards the temple. Das pointed out that true faith cannot be compelled by anyone’s suggestion, implying that Yadav’s intentions were politically motivated to win over Hindu voters by invoking religious symbols.

When asked about Yadav’s challenge to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to contest from Ayodhya, Das dismissed it as childish. He noted that Yadav, as a prominent political leader and face of his party, has no grounds to issue such challenges regarding Adityanath’s candidacy.

Regarding comments from the Bahujan Samaj Party linking Yadav and his party to the blood of karsevaks, Das supported the notion, alleging that the Samajwadi Party has not been loyal to the followers of Sanatan Dharma. He asserted that devotion to the Ram Temple should not be influenced by political pressure or appeals, emphasizing that religious faith is a personal sentiment that should not be exploited for political gain.
