Anand Dubeys Sharp Critique of CJP Protest: Even Flies Can Protest in This Country

Mumbai, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey recently expressed his views on the upcoming protest organized by the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, scheduled for October 10. The protest is aimed at demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Dubey remarked that in this country, even flies and mosquitoes have the right to protest.

Speaking in Mumbai, Dubey highlighted the respect accorded to the Leader of the Opposition in a democracy. He noted that opposition leaders have the right to voice their concerns through protests, whether in Parliament or on the streets. This ongoing conflict between the Election Commission and the opposition has seen the entire opposition rallying behind Rahul Gandhi.

Dubey urged Gyanesh Kumar to meet with Rahul Gandhi, emphasizing the need for dialogue. He mentioned that opposition parties have also sought an appointment with the President, stressing the importance of integrity in politics. He argued that without communication from both sides, effective political engagement is impossible. While Rahul Gandhi is demanding Kumar’s resignation, Dubey asserted that the BJP and the government should not be implicated in this issue.

He expressed hope that the Election Commission would take the matter seriously, as some groups, which he referred to as “cockroach-type parties,” are trying to exploit the situation. He believes that the Election Commission should listen to the opposition’s demands and concerns.

Regarding the CJP protest, Dubey stated that his party’s position will be clarified soon. He reiterated that questions surrounding the Election Commission’s impartiality are valid and deserve discussion. He challenged Gyanesh Kumar to explain any alleged irregularities within the Commission. Dubey quipped that if anyone wants to protest, even flies and cockroaches can do so in this country.

Lastly, he questioned why Gyanesh Kumar is reluctant to meet Rahul Gandhi, urging him to show humility and take just five minutes to resolve the matter over tea.
