Gang Member Arrested for Fraudulent Recruitment in Paramilitary Forces

Lucknow, June 8: The police in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh district took decisive action on Monday by arresting a gang member involved in defrauding youth under the pretense of securing jobs in paramilitary forces. The accused is charged with creating fake documents to deceive unemployed individuals into believing they would obtain government jobs.

According to police reports, Pankaj Yadav, a resident of Andhauri village in the Rani Ki Sarai area, filed a complaint on May 20. He alleged that several individuals had prepared fraudulent documents to lure him into paying money for recruitment into the paramilitary forces. A case, numbered 123/2026, was registered at the Rani Ki Sarai police station, and an investigation commenced.

During the investigation, the names of several other suspects emerged. Under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police, a dedicated team was actively searching for the accused. Following a tip-off, police apprehended the wanted suspect, Munna Sharma, on Monday morning around 8:36 AM near the Mohammadabad railway station in Mau district. Sharma is a resident of Piprakala in Ballia district.

The arrested individual is approximately 48 years old and has a history of involvement in cases related to the preparation of fake documents and forgery. He also has a criminal case registered against him in the Kamrup (Metro) district of Assam.

The police have presented the accused before the court and initiated further legal proceedings. Additionally, efforts to locate other individuals involved in the case are ongoing. Authorities are committed to investigating the entire network of the gang that defrauded youth under the guise of job placement.
