New Delhi, June 1: In a heartbreaking plea for justice, Sunil Kumar, the father of a young man killed in the Amar Colony shooting incident, has called for swift action against the perpetrators. He urged the authorities to handle the criminals in a manner similar to encounters in Uttar Pradesh under Yogi Adityanath’s administration. “Only then will my son receive justice,” he stated.
Sunil Kumar expressed his grief, recounting how his son had simply gone out for a meal when he was shot by a group of thugs. He now hopes for strict action from the government against those responsible for his son’s death.
“My son Sai is no longer with us. Just seven days ago, he went to a restaurant in Amar Colony with friends, where he was shot in the head by gangsters,” he said, visibly emotional.
He emphasized the need for immediate action against the culprits, comparing the situation to encounters in Uttar Pradesh. “They killed my son; they should face the same fate in an encounter. Today it happened to my son; tomorrow it could happen to someone else,” he warned.
Sunil Kumar has also reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, expressing his belief that if a politician’s child were involved, the offenders would not escape justice.
According to him, his son was at the restaurant with friends when some boys began to harass his son’s friend. When Sai intervened, they threatened him. Although they initially left, they returned shortly after and opened fire.
The Delhi Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the case, but Sunil Kumar claims that others are still at large and may be receiving protection from political entities. His son was a 12th-grade student who usually stayed home after tutoring sessions. The father insists that justice must be served for his son.
