According to Ashok Nagar SHO Kishan Kumar, the accused hid a smartwatch inside his undergarments to bypass security checks. During the first session of the exam, around 10:30 am, he allegedly used the smartwatch’s camera to click photos of the question paper and sent them outside the centre via WhatsApp.

His suspicious behavior caught the attention of the exam superintendent. Despite repeated questioning, Ravi denied carrying any device. However, when police and officials pressed further, he became nervous. A frisking revealed the smartwatch hidden in his clothes.

Police later found that Ravi had attempted to send the paper outside to obtain answers via Google, but the attempt failed. His mobile phone at home was also seized, along with the smartwatch used during the exam.

The accused has been booked under relevant sections, and police confirmed that his medical examination will also be conducted. Investigation is underway to trace others possibly involved in the cheating network.
