Diksha Daggar Continues Stellar Form at Tipsport Czech Ladies Open

Brno, June 30: Indian golfer Diksha Daggar has maintained her impressive form on the Ladies European Tour. She secured a tie for 12th place in the final round of the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open with a score of four-under 68. Her fellow countrywomen, Pranavi Urs and Vani Kapoor, also delivered commendable performances in Brno.

Diksha finished the week with an overall score of 13-under 203. This follows her joint third-place finish at the Dutch Ladies Open last week, marking yet another strong showing. Her consistent performance reflects her growing confidence as she moves toward the next stage of the European season.

In the final round, Diksha recorded five birdies, including a remarkable eagle on the 18th hole (par-5), which propelled her into the top 12. Although she started the final day close to the leaders, missed opportunities during the round prevented her from mounting a stronger challenge. Nevertheless, this solid ranking adds crucial points to her LET campaign.

India also saw positive results from Pranavi Urs, who played one of the best rounds of the day. Starting from the 10th tee, she scored five-under 67. Her highlight was a stunning six-under 30 on the inward nine, which included one eagle and four birdies. Showing a strong finish, she ended the tournament tied for 24th, reflecting her aggressive golfing style this season.

Vani Kapoor finished tied for 49th with a score of one-under 71. After rounds of 68 and 70, she is regaining her rhythm on the LET. Other Indian players, including Avani Prashanth, Riddhima Dilawari, and Hitaashi Bakshi, did not make the cut in this tournament.

The title was claimed by Finland’s Noora Komulainen, who finally secured her first Ladies European Tour title after nearly 14 years and her 199th LET tournament. Starting the final round one shot behind the leader, she made a remarkable comeback with four consecutive birdies. Komulainen finished with a score of six-under 66, totaling 18-under par, which led to a three-way playoff with Australia’s Justine Bosiio and Sweden’s Lisa Pettersson.

Returning to the par-5 18th hole, the three players opted to lay up before attacking the green with their third shots. Komulainen executed a decisive approach shot, landing the ball six feet from the hole, and calmly sank the birdie putt, while Bosiio and Pettersson failed to capitalize on their chances.

Italy’s Anna Janusso finished fourth with a score of 17-under, while Ecuador’s Daniela Darkia celebrated her birthday with a career-best score of 63, securing fifth place. Despite this, Bosiio achieved her best finish in her LET career. Italy’s Roberta Liti, Austria’s Emma Spitz, New Zealand’s Amelia Garvey, and Slovenia’s Pia Babnik all tied for sixth place with scores of 15-under.
