Delhi Police Arrest Two Mobile Snatchers, Recover Stolen Phone and Motorcycle

New Delhi, June 14: The Eastern District team of Delhi Police swiftly resolved a mobile phone snatching case within just two days. The New Ashok Nagar police station’s team apprehended two young men and recovered the stolen mobile phone along with the motorcycle used in the crime.

On June 12, 2026, two motorcycle riders snatched a mobile phone from a victim in the Vasundhara Enclave area. Following the victim’s complaint, an FIR was filed at the New Ashok Nagar police station. Under the supervision of the SHO and the guidance of ACP Kalyanpuri, Head Constables Nitin, Ajit, Bobby, and Pradeep meticulously analyzed CCTV footage.

The footage from cameras around the crime scene led to the identification of the motorcycle. Upon questioning the motorcycle’s owner, it was revealed that his brother-in-law, Arjun, was riding it. The police team promptly arrived at Sector 168, Noida, in the village of Chaprauli and arrested Arjun. During interrogation, Arjun disclosed the name of his accomplice, Shahid, also known as Armaan.

Following Arjun’s lead, Shahid was captured in Shashi Garden, Jawahar Mohalla. The victim’s mobile phone was recovered from Shahid, and the motorcycle used in the crime was also seized.

Shahid, 22 years old, is considered a dangerous habitual criminal with 12 previous cases registered against him for snatching, robbery, and attempted murder. The second accused, Arjun, is 21 years old and resides in Sector 168, Noida, village of Chaprauli. He has completed the 8th grade and previously worked as a courier delivery boy. Both suspects have been arrested and will soon be presented in court. The police are also investigating their involvement in other crimes.
