Delhi Minister Lays Foundation for Drain Project in Bawana

New Delhi, June 7: Delhi’s Social Welfare Minister, Ravindra Indraj Singh, laid the foundation for a new drain project in the Prakash Vihar area of Bawana on Sunday. This initiative aims to enhance the infrastructure of roads and drainage systems.

According to an official statement, the project, funded by the Chief Minister‘s Development Fund (CMDF), involves an investment of ₹18 crore by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department. Its primary goal is to strengthen the drainage system and provide better civic infrastructure to local residents.

Addressing the gathering, Singh highlighted the long-standing lack of development in the Bawana assembly constituency, which has led to various fundamental civic issues. He emphasized that the Delhi government is actively working towards permanent solutions to these problems, launching and inaugurating development projects across different parts of the constituency.

Singh noted that if development work had been carried out in a timely manner in the past, the current situation in Bawana would have been significantly better. He assured that the government, under the leadership of Rekha Gupta, is committed to integrating every part of Bawana into the mainstream of development, ensuring that no area is deprived of essential infrastructure.

The minister stated that the aim is to transform Bawana into a modern and well-equipped assembly constituency, fully equipped with all necessary civic amenities. He mentioned that the Delhi government is focused on providing essential services such as drinking water, electricity, roads, drainage systems, healthcare, education, public safety, and transportation in every village.

Singh also noted that there has been a remarkable increase in the pace of development in the area, with citizens beginning to reap the benefits. He informed that on June 3, the foundation for the reconstruction of drains in Rohini Sector-22 was laid, marking an important part of the ongoing development projects in the Bawana assembly constituency.

Additionally, several other development works are being inaugurated and launched throughout the constituency, with many more significant projects set to commence in the near future.
