
Beijing, June 7: The 28th Shanghai International Film Festival will take place from June 12 to June 21 in Shanghai, China. Online ticket sales for the festival saw an impressive response, with 250,000 tickets sold just 15 minutes after they became available.
During this year’s festival, over 420 films will be screened across 47 cinemas in Shanghai and five cities connected to the Yangtze River Delta from June 12 to June 28.
In addition to showcasing new films from renowned directors and world premieres, the festival will feature special activities dedicated to domestic films. This includes 15 outstanding films that highlight China’s geographical landscape and cultural diversity, celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party.
For the first time, a special film exhibition will be held, running until July 20.
