China Launches Special Maritime Operation in Eastern Taiwan Region

Beijing, June 7: On June 6, various departments in China initiated a special maritime enforcement operation in the eastern waters of Taiwan. This operation aims to fully exercise the country’s maritime administrative authority.

The initiative also seeks to enhance patrol enforcement in deep-sea areas and improve traffic control capabilities in key water zones. The goal is to ensure maritime traffic safety and protect national interests.

This action was taken in response to Japan and the Philippines’ unilateral announcement regarding the initiation of “maritime boundary division talks” concerning Taiwan’s eastern waters. Such moves have been viewed as a serious violation of China’s territorial sovereignty and maritime rights.
