Delhi Assembly Speaker to Address Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference on Developed India 2047

New Delhi, June 7: Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta will address the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-II North Zone conference, set to take place in Chandigarh. This significant event is scheduled for June 8 and 9 at the Haryana Assembly complex.

According to officials, the two-day conference will focus on the theme, “The Role of an Aware Society and Representatives in Realizing the Goals of Developed India 2047.” Assembly speakers, presiding officers, and legislators from various northern states will participate, engaging in extensive discussions on the country’s long-term development goals.

The conference aims to strengthen parliamentary institutions, promote modern legislative processes, and enhance democratic cooperation among different states. During the event, representatives and policymakers will come together to deliberate on social, economic, and administrative challenges, discussing effective strategies for their resolution.

Representing the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta will actively participate in various sessions. He plans to share his experiences and suggestions related to empowering citizens, increasing public participation in the democratic process, and strengthening the role of legislative institutions.

Organizers believe that exchanging best practices related to parliamentary procedures will assist representatives in finding better solutions to regional and national issues. Furthermore, it will help create a robust roadmap towards achieving the goals of Developed India 2047.

Recently, Vijender Gupta, alongside Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, launched the first issue of the Delhi Assembly’s quarterly magazine, ‘Vidhan-Chetna.’ On this occasion, 89 volumes related to the proceedings of the Central Assembly from 1924 to 1930 were also inaugurated.

Gupta remarked that this initiative serves as a vital bridge between India’s rich parliamentary heritage and modern democratic development, strengthening democratic discourse while preserving institutional history.
