Ayodhya, July 29: The political landscape has intensified following remarks made by BJP leader Sangit Som, who labeled Jauhar University as a “hub of terrorism.” The saint community in Ayodhya has rallied in support of Som’s statement, claiming that all terrorists are uniting to protect the university.
Mahant Tapasvi Chhauni’s head, Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya, stated in an interview that Som has revealed the truth to society. He asserted that Jauhar University serves as a base for terrorists, with all efforts being made to shield it from bulldozer actions through funding from these groups. Opposition parties, he claimed, are working diligently to protect the university by withdrawing cases against terrorists.
Mahant Sitaram Das from Saket Bhawan echoed Som’s sentiments, declaring that Jauhar University has become a haven for terrorist elements. He accused the institution of promoting love jihad, religious conversion, and anti-national activities. He further alleged that chaos is being spread in the country through international funding, which undermines traditional culture and hurts the Hindu community. He expressed his agreement and support for Som’s views.
Another saint, Arya Sant Varun Das Maharaj, called for a comprehensive investigation into such activities wherever they are found. He emphasized that the era of fear in Uttar Pradesh is over, and the state has become capable and responsive. Those engaging in such actions should face punishment, he stated.
