New Delhi, August 4: The political landscape in Karnataka is heating up over alleged irregularities in the Veterinary Entrance Examination and the Police Recruitment Exam. BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi has strongly criticized Karnataka government minister Priyank Kharge, accusing Congress of politicizing student interests. He stated that this entire incident has stripped away the mask of Congress’s supposed sensitivity towards student issues.
Trivedi pointed out that Congress had claimed to be a champion of student interests during the NEET entrance exam controversy. However, following the emergence of alleged irregularities in the Veterinary Entrance Examination and Police Recruitment Exam in Karnataka, the party’s true attitude has been revealed. When questioned about the responsibility for these irregularities, Priyank Kharge, son of Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, made an extremely insensitive and condemnable remark.
The BJP MP claimed that Kharge suggested that anyone demanding his resignation should first undertake a hunger strike for 25 days and endure police baton charges before discussing resignation. Trivedi condemned this statement as an insult to student sentiments, highlighting the arrogance, insensitivity, and anti-student mindset prevalent within Congress.
He accused Congress of discussing student interests solely for political gain, while in reality, their attitude towards student issues is apathetic. On one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown sensitivity and generosity towards student interests. On the other hand, the Congress leadership exhibits cunning politics and arrogance towards students.
Sudhanshu Trivedi stated that the BJP strongly condemns Priyank Kharge’s remarks and urges students to recognize the true character of political parties that exploit student interests for their benefit. He called for a fair investigation into the alleged irregularities in the Veterinary Entrance Examination and Police Recruitment Exam, ensuring strict action against those responsible for injustices faced by candidates.
Trivedi further emphasized that the true face of the Congress party has been fully exposed, which it has tried to hide behind a facade of sensitivity towards students. While Congress claims to be a friend of students in New Delhi, its real face has been unveiled in Bengaluru. The BJP demands that the concerned minister take moral responsibility and that those accountable for the alleged irregularities in the exams face the harshest punitive measures to prevent such injustices against students in the future.
