Ranchi, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Rajesh Thakur, former president of the Jharkhand Congress, has voiced strong concerns regarding the upcoming High Court hearing on the JPSC-JSSC CGL case. He emphasized that this issue is critical for the futures of millions of students, asserting that the Congress party will not remain silent on matters affecting students’ interests.
Thakur pointed out that the investigation has revealed significant facts, yet the main accused and those allegedly providing protection remain unaddressed. He clarified that the controversy surrounding the JPSC-JSSC CGL is not merely about a single exam or recruitment process; it has far-reaching implications for the youth of Jharkhand. The party will continue to raise its voice on behalf of students.
The investigation, currently being conducted by the CID, has uncovered various details. However, action has yet to reach those considered the primary culprits or alleged protectors. Thakur argued that simply investigating the roles of those directly involved in the examination is insufficient. It is equally important to examine whether any officials may have colluded or provided cover for the misconduct.
He cited the example of the former JPSC chairman’s imprisonment, insisting that legal action should be taken against anyone found guilty during the investigation, regardless of their position. Thakur stressed that there can be no compromises when it comes to the futures of students.
He believes that Chief Minister Hemant Soren is aware of all significant aspects related to the case. Efforts are ongoing to identify those who allegedly manipulated the examination process. Thakur expressed confidence that the Chief Minister would not spare any guilty parties, and as names emerge during the investigation, appropriate actions will follow.
The Congress leader underscored the necessity of maintaining transparency and fairness in competitive examinations. Any irregularities not only harm the immediate candidates but also undermine the trust of youth in the recruitment system. He called for a thorough conclusion to the investigation, ensuring that the guilty are identified and held accountable under the law.
Thakur concluded by stating that negligence at any level regarding students’ futures will not be tolerated, and strict legal measures should be taken against anyone found culpable in the investigation.
