Congress Appoints New District Presidents in Telangana

New Delhi, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed three new presidents for district Congress committees in Telangana as part of its organizational restructuring initiative. These appointments were approved by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and are effective immediately.

According to a press release from AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, M.D. Mustafa has been appointed as the president of the Ramagundam Corporation District Congress Committee. Chigirintha Parijata will lead the Ranga Reddy District Congress Committee, while Patola Chandrashekhar Reddy has been named president of the Sangareddy District Congress Committee.

These changes are part of a broader campaign aimed at strengthening the Congress organization by assigning key leaders responsibilities at the district level across the country. Ramagundam Corporation, Ranga Reddy, and Sangareddy are significant organizational units for Congress in Telangana. Ranga Reddy and Sangareddy are among the key districts surrounding Hyderabad, while the Ramagundam Corporation encompasses several industrial and urban areas.

Party sources indicate that these appointments aim to invigorate organizational activities and prepare district units for upcoming political engagements. The newly appointed presidents will be responsible for coordinating party programs, strengthening grassroots networks, and expanding Congress’s reach in their respective areas.

The AICC has been gradually announcing new appointments in various states as part of a comprehensive organizational overhaul. Similar efforts have been undertaken in other states to bolster the party’s grassroots structure.

The newly appointed district presidents are expected to assume their roles promptly and begin working towards strengthening their respective district units. Given the ongoing process of organizational strengthening by Congress, further announcements regarding appointments in Telangana and other states are anticipated in the coming days.
