Major Projects Signed at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning

Nanning, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo’s signing ceremony took place on September 19 in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southwestern China. This event emphasized the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 and the operation of the Fenglu Canal.

The expo provided a platform for investment and collaboration in various sectors, including the maritime economy and ASEAN cooperation, as well as artificial intelligence (AI). For the first time, a structured supply-demand matching platform was introduced, releasing 254 opportunities related to the maritime economy, comprising 112 opportunity lists and 142 capability lists.

During the ceremony, several projects were officially signed, with over 90% of the industrial investment projects focusing on the manufacturing sector. A total of 41 projects linked to the Fenglu Canal Economic Belt were signed across eight cities. Additionally, 19 international cooperation projects involving seven ASEAN countries and 21 AI projects were included. These AI initiatives span areas such as computing, semiconductors, robotics, and digital service exports.

Representatives from Chinese and foreign enterprises engaged in discussions during the event. They praised Guangxi’s geographic position, which connects both domestic and international economic cycles, as well as the markets of China and ASEAN. The representatives expressed their commitment to increasing industrial investment in Guangxi.

A guest from Cambodia highlighted the significance of the Fenglu Canal’s operation as a milestone. He stated that Cambodia will continue to leverage the China-ASEAN Expo platform to deepen bilateral investment and capacity cooperation with China. The event attracted over 350 participants, including guests from ASEAN countries and representatives from domestic and foreign enterprises.
