
Beijing, September 1: Ahead of his state visit to Egypt, Chinese President Xi Jinping has published an article in prominent Egyptian newspapers Al-Ahram, Al-Akhbar, and Al-Gomhouria. The article, titled “Celebrating 70 Years of Unity: China and Egypt Add a New Chapter,” reflects on the longstanding relationship between the two nations.
In the article, Xi recalls his visit to Egypt a decade ago, noting the profound impact of the country’s ancient culture and stunning landscapes on him. He expresses anticipation for discussions on cooperation with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, aiming to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Egypt.
The piece highlights that diplomatic relations were established 70 years ago, opening the door to friendly cooperation between New China and Arab nations. Over these decades, China-Egypt relations have withstood the test of changing international circumstances, serving as a model for cooperation between China and Arab countries, as well as for China-Africa collaboration.
Xi emphasized that both China and Egypt are currently undergoing crucial phases of development and rejuvenation. He expressed readiness to enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership with Egypt, working together to achieve modernization and build a community with a shared future.
