Chief Minister Dhami Participates in Cleanliness Drive at Nanakmatta Sahib Gurudwara

Udham Singh Nagar, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a cleanliness drive at Gurudwara Shri Nanakmatta Sahib on Monday morning, part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Before the cleanliness event, he offered prayers at the historic Gurudwara, seeking blessings for the prosperity and well-being of the state.

During the cleanliness campaign at the Gurudwara complex, the Chief Minister actively engaged in cleaning efforts. He encouraged attendees and the general public to uphold cleanliness, stating that maintaining the sanctity of religious places and keeping our surroundings clean is a collective responsibility. On this occasion, the Gurudwara committee presented the Chief Minister with a ceremonial robe and a memento.

The Chief Minister also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of dedicated public service. He noted that Modi has devoted every moment of his life to the upliftment of the nation and its citizens, making him a unique leader who has served continuously for 25 years in both roles.

Dhami explained that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which began on September 17 to mark the Prime Minister’s birthday, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. He emphasized that cleanliness in Uttarakhand, a key religious and tourist destination, is paramount, given the influx of pilgrims and tourists from across the globe. Ensuring cleanliness at bus stations, railway stations, government offices, hospitals, and religious sites is a top priority. He assured that cleanliness efforts would not be limited to a campaign but would continue to be a focus moving forward.

Attendees at the event included Ajay Maurya, Chairman of the District Panchayat; Kamal Jindal, District President of the BJP; Prem Singh Turna, Chairman of the Municipal Panchayat; former MLA Prem Singh Rana; and several other local leaders and officials.
