Central Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Meets CM Mohan Yadav to Discuss Education Policies

Bhopal, June 14: Central Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday. CM Yadav welcomed Minister Pradhan with a bouquet and a ceremonial shawl, presenting him with a replica of Baba Mahakal.

During the meeting, CM Yadav briefed Minister Pradhan on various educational initiatives in the state, the implementation of the New Education Policy, and activities related to skill development. Minister Pradhan praised the state government’s innovations in education and higher education.

CM Yadav emphasized that the state government, with the support of the central government, prioritizes quality education, digital learning, and employment-oriented skill development.

Minister Pradhan visited Bhopal to mark the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. During his visit, he toured the shooting academy alongside Madhya Pradesh’s Sports and Youth Welfare Minister, Vishwas Kailash Sarang, engaging with athletes to learn about their experiences.

He noted that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, skill development has been promoted on a large scale for the first time in the country. He highlighted the importance of connecting youth not just to degree-based education but also to skills, sports, and innovation.

Minister Pradhan stated that the National Education Policy (NEP) has integrated sports and physical education into the educational system. Students will no longer have to choose between sports and academics; they will have equal opportunities to excel in both areas.

He also mentioned that special coursework is being developed for athletes and students to establish better coordination between sports activities and academic achievements.
