New Delhi, August 14: On the occasion of Independence Day 2026, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) awarded Presidential Medals and commendation medals to 21 of its officers and staff for their distinguished service.
Six CBI officers received the prestigious Presidential Medal. Among them is Shobha Dutta, an Assistant Inspector General/Superintendent of Police assigned to the Complaints and Coordination Cell in Delhi.
Additionally, the recipients include Manoj Banerjee, an Additional Superintendent of Police from Kolkata, Ginni Rana, an Additional Superintendent of Police at the CBI Academy in Ghaziabad, Sanjay Kumar Samal from the Visakhapatnam Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ramesh Chand, an Assistant Sub-Inspector stationed at the CBI headquarters in New Delhi, and Madan Lal Dheeman, also an Assistant Sub-Inspector in the Delhi IPCU.
Fifteen other officers and staff were honored with commendation medals. This group includes Brijesh Singh, a Deputy Legal Advisor in Lucknow, Girish Joshi, a Senior Systems Analyst at the TAFSU in Mumbai, Manoj Kumar, a Sub-Inspector at the Delhi Anti-Corruption Bureau, Om Prakash Chandra, a Sub-Inspector at the Kolkata Anti-Corruption Bureau, and Zaheer Akhtar Ansari, a Sub-Inspector at the Ghaziabad Anti-Corruption Bureau. Ashish Anand, a Sub-Inspector in the Complaints and Coordination Cell in Delhi, also received recognition.
Moreover, Sarita Yadav, an Inspector in CBI AC-2, Roshan Kumar, a Sub-Inspector in CBI (SU), and Dilbar Singh Bisht, an Assistant Sub-Inspector in CBI (SC-1), were awarded for their commendable service.
Other notable recipients include Balkaar Singh, a Head Constable from the Chandigarh Anti-Corruption Bureau, Govind Singh Bisht, a Head Constable from the Lucknow Anti-Corruption Bureau, Kamlesh Kumar Gurjar, a Head Constable from the Jaipur Anti-Corruption Bureau, Pal Pandian R, a Constable from the Madurai Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ajay Kumar Singh, a Constable from the Patna Anti-Corruption Bureau, and Kalyan Durga Samiullah, a Constable from the Bengaluru Anti-Corruption Bureau.
