
Beijing, February 24: A tragic accident occurred in central Nepal’s Tading district when a bus plunged into a river. As of 8:00 AM on February 23, at least 18 people have been confirmed dead, with over 20 others injured.
The Chinese embassy in Nepal has confirmed that one Chinese citizen was injured and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. Another Chinese national is reported missing, and search efforts are ongoing.
Later, the embassy confirmed that the missing Chinese citizen has been found deceased.
According to local police, the bus was en route from Pokhara to Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, when it lost control and fell into the Trishuli River. Rescue operations are still underway, and the cause of the accident remains unknown.
