Bus Driver Shot in Gwalior: Three Arrested in Connection with Attack

Gwalior, September 13 (Daily Kiran) : In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, a bus driver named Khem Singh Yadav was shot early Sunday morning in the Pichhor area. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dharmveer Singh Yadav, the driver sustained serious injuries and has been hospitalized.

The incident unfolded when Yadav was operating his bus. A group of unidentified individuals blocked the bus’s path with their vehicle, claiming that the bus had run out of diesel and needed to be pushed. Under the pretense of assisting, they lured him out of the bus, at which point they opened fire.

This case posed a significant challenge for law enforcement. Additional Superintendent of Police Jayraj Kuber, along with CSP Nagendra Sikarwar and SDOP Saurabh, deployed over six police station heads to investigate. Remarkably, police apprehended three suspects—Abhishek Yadav, Arjun alias Bhima, and Shivam Yadav—within 12 hours of the attack. They also seized the vehicle used in the crime.

SSP Dharmveer Singh Yadav revealed that the shooting stemmed from a longstanding feud. The driver’s friend had died in an accident in 2022, and the victim’s brothers suspected Yadav’s involvement in that incident. This grudge led to a premeditated plan to attack him.

The suspects were aware of the driver’s schedule and used this knowledge to execute their plan. The police managed to crack this challenging case swiftly, utilizing CCTV footage and informant networks to identify the assailants.
