Lucknow, September 13 (Daily Kiran) : Minister Anil Rajbhar of the Uttar Pradesh government has responded sharply to claims of corruption made by Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav. In a statement, Rajbhar remarked that it is ironic for a party mired in corruption to speak out against it.
Rajbhar likened Yadav’s comments to the saying, “The cat goes to Hajj after eating a hundred mice,” highlighting the hypocrisy he sees in the SP’s stance. “The SP has been steeped in corruption, and now its leaders are pointing fingers at others. They have no real issues to discuss regarding development, so they resort to baseless accusations,” Rajbhar stated. He added that with just four months until the elections, the public will respond accordingly.
On the topic of political dynamics, Rajbhar addressed the recent inclusion of Akash Anand into the party by Chandrashekhar. He also commented on Dimple Yadav’s remarks about BSP leader Mayawati, emphasizing that internal party matters should remain private. “Mayawati is the head of her party and is responsible for its management. She will make decisions as she sees fit, and we have no objections to that,” he said.
Looking ahead, Rajbhar announced an upcoming bike rally starting on September 17 to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service. This initiative, part of a month-long “Seva Sankalp” campaign, aims to engage youth and raise awareness through motorcycle rallies. One group will depart from Modi’s parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, while another will start from Gujarat.
