New Delhi, September 13 (Daily Kiran) : The recent BRICS Summit has been hailed as a historic success by BJP leaders, particularly due to its strong condemnation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the consensus on a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
In Patna, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad expressed his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating, “This is a historic achievement for the BRICS Summit. Countries like China, Russia, Iran, the UAE, South Africa, and Brazil have come together on an alternative and effective international platform under India’s presidency. President Putin also highlighted that the GDP of BRICS countries now surpasses that of Europe and the USA. The condemnation of the Pahalgam attack is another significant development.”
BJP MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal emphasized the successful hosting of the BRICS Summit in India, which he believes sends a strong message to the world. He remarked, “Prime Minister Modi achieved consensus at the summit, particularly on development and the cessation of ongoing wars globally.”
Discussing the Delhi Declaration, Sigriwal noted that the agreement on terrorism poses a significant setback for countries like Pakistan. He stated, “Prime Minister Modi raised this issue, and the heads of state present at the BRICS Summit supported it. This is a major blow to terrorism and those who support terrorists, especially Pakistan. A message of peace and harmony has been sent to the world. The Prime Minister has consistently advocated for a world free from terrorism.”
In Delhi, BJP National Vice President Lal Singh Arya remarked, “Prime Minister Modi has consistently conveyed on the global stage that terrorism is against humanity, and everyone must unite against it. He has been delivering this message for the past decade. I believe that the collective stance against terrorism, including incidents like the Pahalgam attack, represents a significant victory for India and Narendra Modi on a global level.”
Meanwhile, in Mumbai, Shiv Sena MLC Manisha Kayande welcomed the stance taken by BRICS countries. She stated, “The representatives from various countries at the BRICS Summit have raised their voices against terrorism and condemned the Pahalgam attack. This is an important development, indicating that none of these countries support terrorism in any form. If one country faces a crisis, the others will stand in solidarity with it.”
