Bawana, September 13 (Daily Kiran) : The Ramleela ground-breaking ceremony took place in Bawana, Delhi, on Sunday, attended by BJP legislator Ravinder Indraj Singh, national vice president Lal Singh Arya, and MCD mayor Pravesh Wahi. During the event, Singh highlighted that the ceremony symbolizes the spirit of social harmony taught by the Ramayana and Lord Ram.
Singh described Lord Ram as more than just a figure; he embodied an ideal personality. He noted, “From the beginning, it was clear that he was divine, yet he lived his life like an ordinary human. No one could have imagined that his conduct and values would become a model for every person and family to aspire to. We hope that every child born in our homes embodies the qualities of Lord Ram.”
He further elaborated, “The ground-breaking ceremony for Ramleela today brought together everyone, from the poorest to the richest. Here, everyone is a celebrity because all are devotees of Ram. Those who could not attend have also sent their best wishes.”
Singh mentioned actor Arun Govil, who portrayed Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s adaptation, saying that his depiction allowed people across the country to understand Lord Ram’s character and lifestyle. “Even today, when people hear Arun Govil’s name, the image of Lord Ram comes to their minds,” he added.
The legislator emphasized the significance of the Ramleela event in Bawana, stating that such gatherings promote Sanatan culture and Indian traditions. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect with the Sanatan Sanskaram family through this celebration.
Lal Singh Arya, the BJP national vice president, congratulated Singh for organizing such a grand Ramleela every year. He expressed hope that the performance would bring new light into people’s lives and felt fortunate to participate in the ground-breaking ceremony.
MCD mayor Pravesh Wahi also praised Singh, saying, “I commend Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh for uniting everyone to host this magnificent Ramleela in this new colony of Bawana. I can see talented artists, experienced actors, and directors showcasing their skills. This event is intertwined with faith and religion. When politics incorporates religion, it becomes sacred, and its essence shines through.”
