Bhopal, July 22: In response to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi‘s protest near the Prime Minister’s residence in Delhi, BJP leaders staged a demonstration in the capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. They took to the streets to encircle the Congress office.
Under the leadership of BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal, party workers gathered at the Red Cross intersection. Many prominent leaders wore black clothing to express their dissent against the protest held by Gandhi on Tuesday. During the demonstration, BJP leaders labeled Congress as anti-constitutional, while their supporters held placards with slogans.
Khandelwal stated that Rahul Gandhi is continuously undermining the Constitution. He mentioned that Congress resorts to chaos when faced with electoral defeat. In such circumstances, the party attempts to create disorder through backdoor tactics. BJP leaders, along with their workers, protested against Congress’s anti-constitutional activities. Khandelwal emphasized that when Congress fails in elections, it seeks to suppress democracy and embraces chaos.
He further asserted that the BJP opposes Congress’s actions, which is why a significant number of party workers are surrounding their office. Khandelwal also referenced Gandhi’s statements made on foreign platforms, claiming that he disrespects India abroad.
As BJP workers advanced from the Red Cross intersection towards the Congress office, they were halted by police barricades. Meanwhile, outside the Congress office, Congress leaders stood with flowers to welcome the BJP workers.
