China Media Group Launches High-Quality Film and TV Programs in Kyrgyzstan

Beijing, August 27: Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit and make a state visit to Kyrgyzstan. During this visit, the China Media Group (CMG) launched high-quality films and television programs in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

The lineup includes around ten films and TV shows, such as “Letter from President Xi” and “Red Pomegranate Restaurant.” These programs will be broadcast on major media channels in Kyrgyzstan, including the Kyrgyz National Television and Broadcasting Company.

The launch ceremony was attended by over 100 guests, including government officials, media personnel, experts, and scholars from both China and Kyrgyzstan. CMG’s Director General, Shan Haixiong, addressed the event via video message.

He emphasized that President Xi Jinping has stated that China and Kyrgyzstan should promote innovation while adhering to fundamental principles, advance development, and deepen practical cooperation. This joint event, organized by CMG and Kyrgyz media, is a positive step toward implementing the agreements between the heads of state and enhancing cultural exchange and mutual friendship between the two nations.

According to Shan Haixiong, these outstanding programs will help Kyrgyz audiences better understand President Xi Jinping’s ideas on friendship and mutual understanding among people. Additionally, they will offer insights into China’s culture, knowledge, and the vibrancy of a new era in China.

Ulanbek Sadiyev, General Manager of the Kyrgyz National Television and Broadcasting Company, noted that the relationship between Kyrgyzstan and China is reaching new heights based on a comprehensive strategic partnership. This development opens up extensive opportunities for deeper media cooperation between both sides.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration with Chinese media institutions. In recent years, exchanges between the two sides have rapidly increased, helping the people of both countries better understand each other’s national landscapes, cultural histories, and contemporary developments.

Sadiyev expressed hope for increased bilateral exchanges of high-quality films and television programs in the future. He also highlighted the need for deeper professional cooperation in news reporting and content creation to foster mutual understanding and friendship among the people of both nations for generations to come.

Guests at the ceremony expressed excitement for the high-quality films and television programs being showcased. These programs will help the people of Kyrgyzstan understand various aspects of new-era China, including social development, cultural continuity, people’s lives, and technological innovation. It has been reported that the broadcast of CMG’s high-quality films and television programs in Kyrgyzstan will continue until the end of October.
