New Delhi, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : In New Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a nationwide campaign called the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ in celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 and his 25 years of public service. The initiative will run from September 17 to October 7 and will involve various activities and rallies organized by party affiliates, including a significant ‘Seva Yatra.’
This ‘Seva Yatra’ will cover a distance of 40 kilometers over 20 days, reaching approximately 1,159 villages. BJP national coordinator V.D. Sharma explained that the campaign aims to connect with the community under the banner of service, coinciding with the Prime Minister’s birthday.
The journey will be undertaken by 250 groups, each consisting of 10 teams of 25 individuals. Notably, 10 groups will commence their journey from Kashi in Uttar Pradesh. The inaugural session will feature prominent leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Prime Minister Modi himself. Several Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states will also attend.
Sharma highlighted that the campaign will foster dialogue among youth and promote various cleanliness initiatives. Additionally, the ‘Seva Yatra’ will include a tree-planting program as part of the ‘Seva Vatika’ initiative.
In Jammu and Kashmir, BJP MP Sat Sharma announced that the party plans to light at least 75 lamps at each booth as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.’ He noted that the atmosphere in the region has improved since the abrogation of Article 370, thanks to Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
BJP Youth Morcha National President Hemang Joshi emphasized that the ‘Seva Yatra’ is not a promotional campaign. Instead, it aims to inform rural citizens about the government’s various policies and encourage youth participation. He urged young people to join the rally and actively engage in the initiative.
