Punjab Congress President Parghat Singh Seeks Blessings from Former PM Manmohan Singhs Wife

New Delhi, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : Parghat Singh, the newly appointed president of the Punjab Congress, met with Gursharan Kaur, the wife of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on Sunday. During the visit, he expressed his respect for Singh and shared memories of the former leader.

Singh posted photos from the meeting on the social media platform X, stating, “I met Gursharan Kaur, the wife of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. I sought her blessings while remembering Sardar Manmohan Singh. His simplicity, integrity, and dedication to the nation will always remain an inspiration.”

In another post, he emphasized that starting his role as Punjab Congress president by seeking blessings from Kaur at her home reflects his commitment. “Manmohan Singh continues to be a source of inspiration for us. His humility, honesty, and dedication to the country will always motivate us to serve Punjab and India. He will forever be one of our national heroes,” he wrote.

Speaking to the media, Singh highlighted Singh’s contributions, stating, “Manmohan Singh advanced the country not just economically but also with integrity and humanity. I believe it is essential to seek Gursharan Kaur’s blessings before taking on this responsibility. He built institutions that are now being dismantled by the current government. My aim is to inspire a spirit of development in both Punjab and the nation. That’s why I came to seek her blessings.”

Regarding former Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Singh remarked, “I will meet him soon. There are no issues between us.”
