Hardoi, August 1 (HS): The Railways has announced the extension of the Bareilly–Varanasi Express to Ghazipur City, following growing passenger demand. The train will soon be operated under the new name Bareilly–Ghazipur City Express, covering an extended route from Ghazipur to Bareilly via Varanasi and Hardoi.
According to an official order issued by Divisional Railway Manager of Moradabad Division, Sanchay Maurya, train number 14235 Ghazipur City–Bareilly Express will depart from Ghazipur City at 9:30 PM. It will reach Varanasi at 10:55 PM, halt for 10 minutes, and then depart at 11:05 PM. The train will arrive at Hardoi at 8:27 AM the next morning and reach Bareilly at 11:55 AM.
The existing train services numbered 14236 (Bareilly to Varanasi) and 14235 (Varanasi to Bareilly) will now be renamed and rerouted to operate between Bareilly and Ghazipur City. A new timetable has also been released for this extended route.
From Bareilly, train number 14236 will depart at 4:35 PM and reach Hardoi at 6:43 PM. It will arrive in Varanasi at 7:00 AM the next day and depart at 7:10 AM after a 10-minute halt. The train will then reach Ghazipur City at 8:30 AM. The responsibility for train maintenance will lie with Ghazipur City.
