
Begusarai, June 12: A tragic road accident in Begusarai district, Bihar, late Friday night resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including three police station chiefs from Madhubani district. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
Reports indicate that a speeding car crashed violently into a truck from behind. The impact was so severe that the car was completely wrecked, with half of it lodged in the rear of the truck. The accident occurred near NH 31 in the Sahyadpur Kamal police station area.
It is reported that four police officers were in the car, including the three station chiefs returning to Madhubani after a one-day training session in Patna. The car lost control and collided with the truck.
The scene of the accident was chaotic. Upon receiving news of the incident, Begusarai SP Manish Kumar and DSP Anand Pandey, along with a large police contingent, rushed to the site. The deceased have been identified as Sajan Paswan, Ratwara police chief; Neeraj Kumar, Belari police chief; Gyanendra Amarendra, AR police chief; and the private car driver, Jyotish Kumar.
Two police chiefs, Gyanendra and Neeraj Kumar, along with the driver, died at the scene. Sajan Paswan was taken to the local hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed shortly after arrival. The news of the deaths of these three police officers and the driver has sent shockwaves through the police department.
Begusarai Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar confirmed that the accident occurred late at night, resulting in the immediate deaths of four individuals, including three police officers and a driver. He stated that the incident took place around 12:30 AM.
An investigation is ongoing, and post-mortem examinations are being conducted, with all legal procedures and regulations being followed.
