Noida, June 12: Panic erupted in Noida’s Sector 49 area when a fire broke out in an apartment on the fourth floor of the Overseas Apartments. Upon receiving the alert, local police and fire services swiftly arrived at the scene and conducted a daring operation to rescue an elderly couple trapped inside.
According to reports, the police were informed that a fire had ignited in a flat on the fourth floor, and there were concerns that three individuals were trapped inside. Without wasting any time, the Sector 49 police and fire department teams rushed to the location.
During the investigation at the scene, it was discovered that an 86-year-old man and his 83-year-old wife were present in the flat. Due to their advanced age, both were unable to move and had become trapped in the smoke-filled apartment. The situation was critical as the flat’s door was locked from the inside, and thick smoke had filled the entire space.
In response, the fire service and police teams acted promptly, using hydraulic equipment and other necessary tools to cut through the door. They then entered the smoke-filled flat and successfully rescued both elderly individuals. Following the rescue, the police immediately transported the couple to a hospital for first aid. Medical examinations revealed that both were in stable condition and out of danger.
Meanwhile, firefighters managed to completely control the blaze in time, preventing a major disaster. Although there was a brief atmosphere of panic in the apartment complex after the incident, the swift actions of the authorities quickly restored normalcy. Police officials have stated that an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
